BIO
Coco Elane is a Bern-based multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on music. With roots in classical music, Coco grew up immersed in orchestras and chamber ensembles, pursuing a professional path as a violist until the age of 21. Everything changed after an improvisation class at university — a spark that ignited a new passion for singing and songwriting, leading to the birth of the project Coco Elane.
Since then, Coco has been shaping a distinctive world of sound and emotion, blending groove, depth, and vulnerability. As a violist, Coco has shared the stage with international acts such as Parcels, Nightmares On Wax and Anastacia. With their solo-project they recently opened shows for Oscar Jerome and Sirens of Lesbos in Switzerland. In 2025, Coco performed at Gurtenfestival Bern, marking another milestone in a growing live career.
Coco has released music with a diverse range of labels — including urbnundgrnds, Melting Pot Music, Inner Ocean Records and Hutzpah Records — and collaborated with MONKYMAN on his latest album, that was released via Laut&Luise.
From the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie to the intimacy of their own studio, from performing alongside pop icons to finding their own voice as a solo artist — Coco Elane plays not only with genres, but also with expectations. Their songs are at once groovy, relaxed, and profound — like a musical embrace for all folks.
For Coco, art is a way of life: creation is both joy and devotion, curiosity and sincerity. Coco’s work moves with life itself — fluid, open, and ever-evolving — seeking connection, trust, and love. With an intuitive sense for beauty in people and the art of living, Coco creates spaces that connect being with environment, people with people.
Coco Elane’s art is a safe space for queers, aliens and outsiders — a free space for being and becoming.
